Which type of grass is right for YOU?

While all grass types aren't looking their best due to our drought conditions, there are some types that are faring better than others.  What is the best type of warm-season grass to pick for your lawn?

The Texas Cooperative Extension recommends four types of grass for central Texas:
  1. Bermuda Grass– drought and cold tolerant, resistant to disease and spreads quickly.
  2. St. Augustine Grass – deep rooted, tough, and fast growing.
  3. Buffalo Grass – drought tolerant and low maintenance requirements.
  4. Zoysia Grass – attractive, drought resistant and resilient to wear
Check back with us the rest of this week as we continue to post about the detailed traits of the 4 different grasses to help you decide which lawn grass is best for you!
