Crape Murder

A few weeks ago, we discussed the right way to prune crape myrtle trees. The following is a link to that post:

We saw this the other day and wanted to post pictures of what we refer to as "Crape Murder" or the WRONG way to prune your Crape Myrtle trees.  It is such a shame to do this to your trees and it will make the tree look worse in the long run.  By cutting it back to stubs, the tree will never have new bark and eventually the new limbs will be too week to hold up the blooms.
