Time to Dress your Lawn!

Top Dress that is!  Now is the perfect time to top dress or add compost your lawn.   Why should you add compost to your lawn?

Topdressing your lawn with compost is beneficial for many reasons:
1. Most importantly, it adds nutrients and living microbes to the soil environment
2. It encourages more water applied through rain or sprinkler systems to stay in the turf zone before it evaporates
3. It encourages a healthier "drought tolerant" root structure
4. Builds healthier lawns and gardens

Now that spring is just around the corner, we will be spending more and more time outdoors.  Many people no longer consider their yard just a place that needs mowing but rather as an extended living space with outdoor rooms.

Spring Bloom this Saturday

SAWS will have their annual Spring Bloom event this Saturday from 9-1.  It is located at SAWS headquarters at 2800 Hwy 281 North.  The event is free and offers different speakers and seminars on many topics related to gardening and landscape care.
They also have a plant propagation
